Quickstart with SMS Broadcasts

This guide covers how to create and schedule SMS broadcasts to reach your contacts in the DIDWW Messaging Platform.

SMS broadcasts allow you to send urgent notifications, reminders, and promotional messages directly to mobile devices. They are ideal for time-sensitive communication and support personalization through dynamic fields.

Setting up SMS broadcasts is essential for executing real-time messaging strategies. With broadcasts, you can reach large audiences instantly, define recipient lists, and control delivery timing with scheduling options.

Before You Begin

Before creating an SMS broadcast, ensure you have the following:

  • A List or Segment of Contacts – Required to select message recipients. If you haven’t set up contacts, see Quickstart with Contacts.

  • An SMS Template – Required for the SMS channel to define message content and delivery. If you haven’t created one, see Quickstart with SMS Templates.

  • An Active A2P SMS Campaign – Required to select A2P Campaign in the broadcast channel settings. To activate, visit A2P SMS Campaign.

  • A Positive DIDWW Balance – Your account balance must be positive to send SMS messages successfully.

Step 1: Create an SMS Broadcast

Start by configuring the initial settings for your SMS broadcast. You’ll define the broadcast name, select recipient lists or segments, and choose a predefined SMS template. You’ll also configure sender details, opt-out preferences, and optionally enable fallback delivery channels such as WhatsApp or Email to maximize reach.
