Quickstart with Contacts
This guide covers how to import contacts via CSV uploads or manual entry, organize them into segments or lists, and manage contact attributes in the DIDWW messaging platform.
Configuring contacts is the first essential step before using the messaging platform, as it defines who will receive your messages. Importing contacts is mandatory, and you must organize them into segments (dynamic groups filtered by criteria) or lists (manually managed static groups) to effectively manage contacts, target recipients for campaigns, and complete the broadcast creation process.
Additionally, you can use contact attributes to store extra details such as birthdays, purchase history, geographical location, or customer preferences. These attributes support personalized messaging and automated campaigns, including birthday greetings, regional promotions, and product recommendations.
Before You Begin
Important
Ensure your contact list is accurate, up-to-date, and includes only individuals who have provided explicit consent to receive communications. Maintaining proper documentation of consent and honoring opt-out requests is essential for regulatory compliance and building trust with your audience.
Step 1: Import your Contacts
To begin using the DIDWW messaging platform effectively, you’ll need to import your existing contacts. We offer two convenient methods to get you started:
Ideal for adding individual contacts.
Ideal for importing a large number of contacts.
Step 2: Organize Contacts into Segments and Lists
To make your messaging campaigns more targeted and effective, group your contacts into segments or lists. Segments let you categorize contacts based on shared traits like location, interests, or behavior, while lists help you manage specific groups for tailored messaging. This setup simplifies your workflow and ensures the right messages reach the right people.
Automatically group contacts using filters like names, phone numbers, or custom tags. Perfect for managing large, dynamic audiences that update in real-time.
Manually create groups of contacts for specific messaging campaigns. Great for smaller, hands-on projects where you want full control.
Step 3 (Optional): Manage Contact Attributes
Contact attributes allows you to store extra details about your contacts, such as birthdays or preferences, to unlock personalized messaging, smarter filtering, and automation.
