# Trunk Group settings reference

This reference describes the fields available when creating or editing an
inbound Trunk Group and the settings applied to its member trunks. For
configuration steps, see [Create a Trunk Group](how-to-guides/create-trunk-group.html).

## General

| Field | Availability | Description |
| --- | --- | --- |
| Name | Required | Unique name used to identify the Trunk Group in the DIDWW User Panel. |
| Capacity Limit | Optional | Maximum number of simultaneous calls that DIDWW can deliver through the entire Trunk Group. Enter a value from 1 to 32767. The default value is **Unlimited**. Calls that exceed this limit are rejected. |
| Trunks | Optional | SIP and PSTN trunks included in the Trunk Group. A trunk can belong to only one Trunk Group. The default selection is empty. |

## Member trunk settings

The following fields appear under **Trunk Group** when creating or editing an
individual SIP or PSTN trunk. They control the trunk's membership and routing
behavior within the selected group.

| Field | Availability | Description |
| --- | --- | --- |
| Trunk Group | Optional | Group to which the trunk belongs. A trunk can belong to only one Trunk Group. |
| Priority | Trunk Group selected | Routing order. Lower values are preferred. Trunks with the same priority are selected according to **Weight**. Enter a value from 0 to 65535. The default value is `1`. |
| Weight | Trunk Group selected | Relative selection weight among trunks with the same priority. Higher values increase the likelihood that a trunk is selected. Enter a value from 0 to 65535. The default value is `65535`. See [**RFC 2782**](https://datatracker.ietf.org/doc/html/rfc2782.html). |
| Re-routing Disconnect Codes | SIP trunk with a Trunk Group selected | Disconnect codes that cause DIDWW to attempt another eligible trunk in the group. By default, all codes are selected except **401 Unauthorized**, **486 Busy Here**, **503 Service Unavailable**, and **603 Decline**. The list also includes **Ringing Timeout**, which is selected by default and re-routes the call when the trunk's **Ringing Timeout** expires. See [SIP response codes in Call Logs](../analytics/sip-response-codes-reference.html#inbound-technical-sip-response-codes-in-call-logs). |

The member trunk's own **Capacity Limit** and **Ringing Timeout** can also
affect whether an attempt proceeds to another eligible trunk. See the
[SIP trunk settings reference](../sip-trunks/sip-trunk-settings-reference.html) or [PSTN trunk settings
reference](../pstn-trunks/pstn-trunk-settings-reference.html).
