The DIDWW Inbound SIP Trunking service provides cost-effective, feature rich, and highly reliable delivery of voice traffic from our global range of local, mobile and toll-free phone numbers. A flexible trunk group architecture is employed, protecting against the failure of individual SIP trunks, and load balancing is offered in order to achieve maximum scalability and guarantee high service availability.
DIDWW offers direct peering and interconnection via VoIP SIP Trunks or TDM. This enables customers to maintain complete control of the delivery of inbound calls, resulting in optimum quality, security, management, and performance of end-to-end voice services.
Preferred server selection - enables the selection of POPs for each individual SIP trunk, ensuring redundancy and low-latency services.
Link failure protection - trunk groups offer protection against individual link failure by automatically using the other links in the group in the event of such a failure. The importance of each trunk within the trunk group is ranked according to configured priorities.
Load balancing - may be used within trunk groups to distribute the amount of network traffic among supporting servers so as to maximize performance. Weight factors are allocated to trunks to define the sharing of the traffic between trunks.
Re-routing disconnect rules - are used to define the conditions for trunk failure that results in the selection of an alternate trunk. These rules are based on standard SIP response codes, together with proprietary DIDWW failure conditions.
Configurable ringing timeouts - used to set the timeout for a call connection failure. The action taken by the trunk group on occurrence of this error is determined by the configured re-routing disconnect rules.
Capacity limits - may be configured on a per-trunk basis, defining the maximum number of concurrent calls that can be serviced on that trunk. The DIDWW Inbound voice service provides cost-effective, feature rich, and highly reliable delivery of voice traffic from our global range of local, mobile and toll-free phone numbers.
