# DID History

Use the DID History resource to retrieve recent history records for DID phone numbers
associated with your DIDWW account.

A DID History record represents a lifecycle event for a DID phone number. Each record
identifies the DID number, the action performed, the method through which it was performed,
and the event creation time.

Use DID History to review DID assignment, renewal, cancellation, removal, restoration, and
billing cycle count changes. Records for billing cycle count changes also provide the
previous and new values.

Note

Only DID History records from the last `90` days are available.

## Retrieve all DID History records

Retrieves all DID History records available for the account from the last 90 days.

Use this endpoint to filter records by ID, DID number, action, method, or creation time.
Results can be sorted by creation time and are paginated.

Retrieves a specific DID History record by its unique ID.

Use this endpoint when you already know the history record ID and need to inspect its DID
number, action, source method, timestamp, or billing cycle count change details.

## Common DID History use cases

| Use case | Description |
| --- | --- |
| Review DID lifecycle events | Find recent assignment, renewal, cancellation, removal, and restoration events. |
| Track renewal-setting changes | Review `billing_cycles_count_changed` records and compare their `meta.from` and `meta.to` values. |
| Audit the action source | Determine whether an action was performed by the system, API v2, API v3, staff, or the user panel. |
| Review a specific DID number | Filter recent history records by DID phone number. |
| Search within a timeframe | Filter records by their creation time within the available 90-day period. |
| Investigate recent DID changes | Use history records to understand when and how a DID's lifecycle or renewal setting changed. |
