# Regions

Use the Regions resource to retrieve regions available in the DIDWW inventory.

A region represents a geographic subdivision within a country, such as a state, province,
or administrative area. Region records can be used to filter related resources such as
cities, DID Groups, and Available DIDs.

## Endpoints

Retrieves all regions available in the DIDWW inventory.

## Common region use cases

| Use case | Description |
| --- | --- |
| Filter DID inventory by region | Use region IDs to retrieve DID Groups available for a specific state, province, or administrative area. |
| Find cities in a region | Use a region ID to retrieve cities available within that region. |
| Search regional coverage | Find regions where DIDWW provides coverage within a selected country. |
| Check DID availability | Use regions with DID Groups or Available DIDs to check whether DID numbers are available for purchase in a selected region. |
| Narrow coverage by country | Combine region filters with country filters to refine coverage searches. |
