# Countries

Use the Countries resource to retrieve countries available in the DIDWW inventory.

A country represents the top-level geographic market used by Coverage Resources. Country
records can be used to filter related resources such as regions, cities, NANPA prefixes,
DID Groups, and Available DIDs.

## Endpoints

Retrieves all countries available in the DIDWW inventory.

## Common country use cases

| Use case | Description |
| --- | --- |
| Filter DID inventory by country | Use country IDs to retrieve DID Groups available for a specific country. |
| Find regions in a country | Use a country ID to retrieve regions available within that country. |
| Find cities in a country | Use a country ID to retrieve cities available within that country. |
| Search country-level coverage | Find countries where DIDWW provides DID coverage. |
| Check DID availability | Use countries with DID Groups or Available DIDs to check whether DID numbers are available for purchase in a selected country. |
| Filter NANPA prefixes | Use country IDs to retrieve NANPA prefixes for supported countries with country code `+1`. |
